Proper Etiquette

Respectful Laundromat Etiquette at BFLO Laundry Co.

At BFLO Laundry Co., we’re more than just a place to wash your clothes — we’re a part of your neighborhood. We take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming space where every customer feels comfortable. To keep the experience pleasant for everyone, we kindly ask that you follow these basic rules of laundromat etiquette.

Security Cameras Are for Safety, Not Surveillance

Our security system is in place to help protect both our equipment and our customers. We do not monitor for anything beyond safety concerns. Your privacy and comfort are important to us, and our goal is to provide a secure space where you can focus on your laundry without worry.

Machines Are First-Come, First-Served

Please do not reserve machines or hold them for others. All washers and dryers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This helps keep things fair and moving efficiently for everyone.

Prepare Your Laundry at Home

Pre-sorting your clothes before arriving — lights, darks, delicates — saves time and space. It allows you to get started right away without blocking folding tables or machines while you sort.

Don’t Overload the Machines

Overstuffing machines can lead to poor washing results or even mechanical damage. Our locations offer machines in multiple sizes — choose the one that best fits your load to ensure a thorough and efficient wash.

Use the Right Amount of Detergent

Using too much detergent won’t make your clothes cleaner — in fact, it can do the opposite. Be mindful of machine type and detergent instructions. Our high-efficiency washers require less soap than traditional models.

Stay with Your Laundry

Leaving your laundry unattended for extended periods is discouraged. While quick bathroom breaks are understandable, stepping away for long periods can lead to confusion or inconvenience for others. BFLO Laundry Co. is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

Double-Check Before You Leave

Please take a moment to check machines, carts, and folding areas before you go. Socks, baby clothes, and undergarments are often forgotten — don’t let yours be left behind!

Bring What You Need

We offer some supplies for purchase, but bringing your own detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets is recommended. It saves you time, ensures you get the products you prefer, and helps keep your visit smooth.

Clean Up After Yourself

Help us keep the laundromat tidy for everyone. If the dryer has a manual lint trap, give it a quick clean after use. Dispose of trash properly and keep folding tables clean for the next guest.

Be Considerate to Others

A little kindness goes a long way. Say hello, hold the door, or lend a hand if someone needs it. And if you experience any issues, our on-site staff are here to help — just ask.

Whether you visit us in West Seneca, Niagara Falls, Lockport, or any of our other locations, we’re committed to making laundry day better for everyone.
Thank you for doing your part to keep BFLO Laundry Co. clean, courteous, and community-driven.
